About:
The club holds two public challenges a year on the club grounds. The spring challenge is two days long and typically run on a Saturday and Sunday in April.
The fall challenge is normally one day and occurs during a weekend in September.
Runs are scored and prizes are awarded for the top three scores in each division (top two scores in puppy division). Dogs can be entered
into the Singles, Team, Puppy, and Youth competitions as either a pointer or a flusher.
- The Singles competition is 1 hunter with 1 dog, 8 shells, 4 chuckars, and a 20 minute time limit.
- The Teams competition is 2 hunters with 1 dog, 12 shells(total between both hunters), 6 chuckars, and a 30 minute time limit.
- The Puppy competition is 1 hunter with 1 dog under 18 months old, 6 shells, 3 chuckars, and a 20 minute time limit.
- The Youth division is 1 youth hunter with 1 dog accompanied by an adult handler, 3 chuckars, and a 20 minute time limit. *The youth hunter must do all shooting.
There are a limited number of entries with time slots being assigned on a first come first serve basis.
Lunch and beverages are available during the challenge and included with registration.
